Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

This plaque honors the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who was shot down at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee, on April 4, 1968. Whether you have the day off today or are obligated to work, observing Martin Luther King, Jr. Day means more than remembering the long struggle of the civil rights leader to shine a light on, and stamp out, racial inequality in the United States. He had a dream, I have a dream, you have a dream, so do not give up ! Think about it, where would we be if Mr. King gave up on his dream?
